ATG proudly presented two-time Tony Award-Nominee Kate Baldwin as Desiree in our season premiere of Stephen Sondheim’s A Little Night Music. Written by Hugh Wheeler, this sophisticated farce was awarded six 1973 Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Original Score, and is based on Ingmar Bergman's comedy of manners, Smiles of a Summer Night, set in 1900 Sweden. It explores the tangled web of hidden (and not-so-hidden) affairs, desires and deceits and features one of Sondheim’s most cherished songs, "Send in The Clowns."

The musical was directed by Broadway veteran and Tony Award-nominee Hunter Foster, with musical supervision by Keith Levenson.

Our second show was the world premiere of Canned Goods, a provocative new play  by Erik Kahn.  It tells the gripping tale of the secret incident that launched World War II and is a harrowing account of Hitler’s devious strategy to fake an attack on Germany to justify his invasion of Poland in 1939.

The production was directed by Charlotte Cohn. Please visit our production page for additional details.

A Little Night Music is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
